Enter to win a $100 gift card by submitting a photo or video

In an effort to bring holiday cheer to the Greater Baldwinsville community, we are launching our first ever Holiday Decoration Contest! We are asking community members to submit pictures and videos of their homes decorated and done up in lights, holiday doors, pictures of families caroling, pets dressed up in their holiday best and more! Entries will be featured on our FB page and on television.

Why enter?

In addition to spreading holiday cheer, the winner in each category will each receive a $100 gift certificate to their favorite Baldwinsville business. And, all winners and finalists will be featured on TV. That’s a win-win!

Categories

Category 1: Holiday Door Decoration

Please post a picture of a decorated front door with a brief description of what inspired your holiday design. Specify that your entry is for the Holiday Door Decoration category.

 

Category 2: Cheery Videoscape

Please post a video (roughly 15-60 seconds in length) of your home’s exterior decor. The video can be taken day or night, depending on what best displays your holiday design. Be sure to include a brief description of what inspired your holiday design. Specify that your entry is for the Cheery Videoscape category.

 

Category 3: Anything Goes

This is our catchall category for people who want to submit videos or pictures of their home decor (interior), family, pets or anything holiday related that will brighten our community. Again, be sure to include a brief description of what inspired your holiday submission. Specify that your entry is for the Anything Goes category.

How to enter

1.) Take a photo or video that fits with one of the categories

2.) Post it here on our Facebook Contest Page and email it to content@pacbtv.org. Don’t forget to include which category you’re entering for!

3.) Get those likes! Ask all your friends and family to visit the page and like your entry. The submissions with the most likes will go on to the next round.

The contest begins on Saturday, November 21, and all entries must be submitted by Saturday, December 5. Facebook voting will continue through Saturday, December 12. Remember: The sooner you submit your entry, the more time you have to ask your social media friends to like your entry.

How winners are selected

Round 1 winners will be selected based on most Facebook likes on our contest page; they will then advance to the second round where our judges will determine final winners.

 

Rules & regulations

There are two rounds for judging. Based on Facebook likes, the top 3 submissions in each category will advance to round 2. This means contestants should encourage friends and family to like their submission post! Send your social media network to our contest page to garner more likes (loves, cares and wows) for your submission post.

In Round 2, our judges will select a winner based on creativity, quality and overall appeal.

Winners will be announced on Monday, December 14. All entries will be featured in a Baldwinsville Holiday Reel on PAC-B TV.
